Lorena Seidel, parenting coach and founder of The Cooperation Shift

What Lorena tells every room.

An ice pack alone will not fix a broken bone.

Match the support to the intensity, the frequency and the duration of the problem. A little tip will not fix a big problem, and parents who keep looking for a quick fix stay stuck.

Discipline is kind and firm. Not punitive. Not permissive. Whatever you accept becomes what your child thinks is acceptable. Raise the bar and back it with real support.

Lorena is a coach, not a therapist. She works on the other 167 hours of the week, alongside the professionals in a child's life, never instead of them.

Who She Speaks to...

Parent communities

Parents leave with one concrete thing to do tonight and a way to judge how big their problem really is. No fluff, no guilt trips, no "you are doing your best."

Schools and educators

Teachers are worn out from managing behavior all day. Lorena gives educators and school parents the same language for staying firm and connected, so power struggles stop before they start.

Workplaces

Working parents carry the morning meltdown into the meeting. Workplace talks start with a short conversation about your people and your goal, then a talk built for that group.

Therapist groups

Therapy is one hour a week. Lorena speaks to clinicians about the other 167 hours, and how to hand parents a clear plan to carry the work between sessions. Coach, not therapist, working alongside the professionals.

Pediatric groups

Parents bring behavior problems to the pediatrician. Lorena shows parents how to size the problem by intensity, frequency and duration, and when it is time to go back to a clinician.

Libraries

Open community talks for parents of children, preteens and teens: one clear idea, a concrete takeaway, and honest answers in the Q&A.

Beyond the Parenting Tips: Matching Support to the Intensity, Frequency and Duration of Teen Behavior

For parent groups and conferences. Parents learn to size a problem by its intensity, frequency and duration, so they stop chasing quick fixes. They leave with one step to take tonight.

Keynote, 45 to 60 minutes

Why Most Parenting Advice Misses the Point

For parent communities and school audiences. Lorena shows why tips fail without a system behind them. People leave knowing what to change first and why consistency beats cleverness.

The Other 167 Hours

For therapists, pediatric groups and the professionals who see families one hour a week. Lorena covers the other 167. Attendees leave with a clear plan parents can carry between sessions.

Kind and Firm: Not Punitive, Not Permissive

For schools, educators and parents. No punishing, no pleading. Attendees learn the language that holds the line and keeps the connection, so power struggles stop before they start.

Formats...

Talk, 60 minutes

A multi-week series for a school or parent group, with a talk and live coaching each session.
